African & Proud (AP) joined the ART+FEMINISM 2022 campaign by hosting an event in Benin City, Nigeria.
Art+Feminism builds a community of activists that is committed to closing the information gap related to gender, feminism, and the arts, beginning with Wikipedia
The event aimed at bridging the content gap around Nigerian women on Wikipedia while also recruiting more female editors to Wikipedia.
The event saw in attendance about 30 participants which comprised 70% female and 30% male and we were able to train participants to becoming Wikipedia editors while also improving and creating articles relating to Nigerian Women.
